Where To Stay
One of the better basic places is the good valued Star Lodge, South Car St, which has rooms. The Hotel Raja Rajan, 162 W Car St, has clean small rooms with bath. There is also the Deen Lodge, which has rooms.
The Ramyas Deluxe, 46 South Car St, is one of the best cheaper places.
The Hotel Saradharam, 19 VGP St, opposite the bus stand, has large clean rooms with A/C. The PM Lodge, 15 S Sanathi, has basic cheap rooms.
The reasonably priced Hotel Tamil Nadu, on Railway Feeder Rd is the nicest place in town and has both air-conditioned rooms and normal rooms. Check the room before you take one, as some of the rooms have seen better days.
The Akshaya 17/18E Car St, is a modern hotel by the temple with 30 rooms. It has a rooftop veg restaurant.
The Railway Retiring Rooms are a good value with large clean rooms, but the bathrooms are a little run down.
