Air
The closet airport is in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), 86 km north.


Train
The weekly Himsagar Express goes to Madras and then all the way to Delhi and from there to Jammu. This is the longest train trip in India. The daily passenger train to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) takes three hours. The train to Bombay, the Kanniyakumari Express. It stops at Thiruvananthapuram on the way. The train station is about 1 km north of the center of town.


Bus
The bus station is about a half a km west of the center of town. There are buses to Madras, Thiruvananthapuram, Rameswaram and Madurai. There are regular local buses to Nagercoil and Kovalam. Nagercoil is a major bus junction, with two large bus stations. You can get buses for all over South India from there.
