Special Recipies for the Navarata Fasts
Kuttu Atta ke Pakoras
1/2 Cup Kuttu or Singhara Atta
11/2 teaspoon rock salt
2 finely cut round Potatos
10 small square slices of yellow pumpkin (kaddu)
Boiled clean water to make a paste
Oil for frying
Mix the flour and salt. Then slowly add water to make a smooth paste.
Dip cut pieces of Patato and Pumpkin
Heat Oil in a deep pan (kadai). Once oil is hot, fry the potatos and pumpkin.
Remove on a kitchen towel, soak extra oil.
Sprinkle some amchur powder and serve hot.
Can be served with plain yogurt or raita made of cucumber and potatos.
