For Long Life and Prosperity

In the essence of what is earthly bliss, O gods in strength of body, may Agni, Surya and Brihaspati grant him long life and vigour.

Grant him long life, O ye Jatavedas; progeny, bestow upon him O Tvashtar, impart O Savitar, increase of wealth to him; may he, who belongs to thee, live for hundred autumns!

May our devotion bring us vigour and excellent progeny; do ye both Heaven and Earth grant us ability and prosperity. May, this man, conquering lands with his might, O Indra, subduing his foes, live long!

Given by Indra, instructed by Varuna, sent by Maruts, the mighty, he has come to us. May he be in your lap, O Heaven and Earth, never suffer from hunger or from thirst.

Indra in the beginning having been wounded, made this refreshment, and this divine food, which is yours here. By means of it do thou live a hundred autumns, full of vigour; may it not flow out of thee, the physicians have made it for thee!

For Securing A Woman's Love

As the wind here tears the grass from the earth, so do I tear thy mind, that thou woman mayest love me and not be averse to me.

May ye, O twin Ashvins, unite and bring together the lovers. the fortunes of both of you are united, united are the thoughts and united are the courses.

What is within shall be without, what is without shall be within. Take captive, O herb, the mind of the maidens of many charms.

Hither hath this maiden come, longing for a husband, longing for wife I have come. Like a loud-neighing horse, I have come together with my good fortune.

Against Worms

With Indra's great millstone that crushes all vermin, I do grind these worms like grains on a grinder.

Both visible and invisible worms have I crushed, not sparing any. We destroy all these worms with our spells.

The Algandus I destroy with a mighty weapon, those burned, and those unburned, they all have been drained of life-sap. Present or absent I destroy them all with my spell so that no single worm is left alive!

The worm in the entrails, the worm in the head, the one in the ribs, we crush all with this spell!

The worms that are on the hills, or in the woods, whether in plants or the waters, Whether they live within men or cattle, all the breed of them I exterminate!

For Good Health

From both thy nostrils, thy eyes, ears and from thy chin, forth from thy head, brain and tongue I drive the disease away.

From the neck and its nape, ribs and from the spine, from shoulders, upper and lower arms, I drive the disease away.

From Viscara and all within, forth from the rectum, abdomen, from thy stomach, guts and navel I do drive the disease away.

The disease that is in thy every limb, in every hair, in every joint, from all thyself, from top to toe, I do drive the disease away.

For obtaining a Husband

Unto us, after our liking, O Agni, may wooer come, may he come to this maiden with our fortune. May she, agreeable to wooers, charming at festivals, quickly attain happiness through a husband!

Agreeable to Soma. Agreeable to Brahma, brought together by Aryaman, with the unfailing surity of divine Dhatar, do I bestow upon thee a husband and good fortune.

May this woman, O Agni, obtain a husband, for king Soma has made her lovely. May she begetting sons, become the chief queen. May she going to her husband and having good fortune bear rule.

As this pleasant cave, O Indra, giving a safe abode, is to wild animals, so let this woman, O Indra, be favourite of fortune and mutually beloved, and not at odds with her husband.

Ascend thou the full, inexhaustible boat of good fortune and upon this bring here the wooer who shall be of your liking.

Shout to the suitor, O lord of wealth, make his mind bent towards her, turn thou the right side of every suitor towards her according to her desire.

Here is gold and bedellium, and also balsam and good fortune. These have prepared thee for husbands, in order to obtain one who is agreeable to thee.

Hither may Savitar lead the husband who is according to thy desire, do thou assign him to her, O herb!
