O sacred Soma, conqueror of high renown, flowing on thy way, make the better than we are. Bring to us light, the light divine, and all pure felicities, make us better than we are. Strengthen our skills and mental powers, drive away all our foes, O Soma and make us better than we are. O purifier, make this Drink, a draught for Indra to drink. Make us better than we are. Give us our share in the Sun through your wisdom and grace. Long may we see on the Sun! Make us better than we are.

O almighty Soma, pour upon us a double share of riches and grace. Make us better than we are. O God, ever victorious, never subdued in battle, pour forth on us your riches. Make us better than we are. O Pavaman Soma, strengthened by man’s worship, you shower boons. Make us better than we are. O Purifier, grant us wealth in seeds manifold, life-quickener. Make us better than we are.

The divine Sage, wise of heart, when placed between both hands and pressed, gives pleasant, delightful powers with a roar. Thou flow forth, O Soma Pavaman, enjoying our laud, to a splendid home, free from guile and dear to men. The bestower of joy like a son, pure and mighty, great son strengthens law, when born, he illumines his parents the Earth and Heaven. Inspired by intense devotion he has gladdened the seven guileless rivers which have magnified the single Eye, Soma the Moon.

O men, worship ye Soma, him who is now purified, fain to serve the Gods. The learned priest have blent the sweet and divine Soma juice with milk for Gods. May thou grant happiness to our cattle, happiness to our people, happiness to steeds and happiness to growing planets, O king with thy flow! Sing ye learned priests a song of praise to Soma, brown-hued, independent in might, radiant, reaching up to heaven! Purifying Soma when shed with stones which are moved rapidly by the skilled hands, and then blend the milk with the sweet juice. With humble homage draw ye nigh, blend Soma with curds and offer Indu to Indra. O God Soma, foe-queller, fulfilling the desires, pour forth prosperity on our kine! O god, sovereign of the heart, thou heart-knower, thou art expressed that Indra drink thee and be delighted. O God, give us riches and heroic strength, O Indu, through Indra, our elly.

Effused through the fleecy filter in thousand streams flows forth purified Soma Pavaman to the meeting place of Indra and Vayu. Sing ye men for help to Soma, the Sage, shed for the enjoyment of Gods. The Soma juice of thousand powers is clarified to gain strength, and praised to become the feast of Gods. O God, as thou flowest grant us mighty powers and abundant food, Indu, give us excellent manly strength. Just as the horses are urged by their riders, so are poured forth Soma drops to win us strength, fast through the fleecy filter. May these drops grant us riches in thousands and manly strength, these godlike soma drops expressed. They flow forth roaring like milch-kine lowing to their calves. They have raced on from both the hands. Thou purified, beloved of Indra, full of joy, roaring, drive away all our foes! O Pavaman, sit in the place Yajna and sweep away the godless, looking on the light!
