Tirthas

At the earth’s request, the boar now told her about the various tirthas.

When the sage Raivya went through intense meditation, Vishnu appeared before him in the place known as Kubjamraka. The word kubja means bent and amra is a mango tree. Vishnu appeared before Raivya in the form of a mango tree. Vishnu’s weight was so great that the mango tree was bent down. That explains why the tirtha is known as Kubjamraka. A person who bathes there or dies there is immediately liberated. Manasa and Maya are two other tirthas near Kumbjamraka.

If one meditates at Sarvakalika tirtha, one gets to enjoy a long stay in heave. There is a hot water spring in the place named Purnamukha. If one bathes there, one gets to live in the above of the moon for a very long time. Thereafter, one is born into a brahmana family.
