All one’s desires are fulfilled if one visits it, or bathes there. Vishnu himself meditated in Vadarikasharma is a tirtha named Matsyashila. The river Koushika flows past this place. This tirtha is so holy that the sight of a fish there is equivalent to catching sight of Vishnu himself.

There are five streams in Panchashikha tirtha. Bathing in these streams earns as much of punya as can be earned by performing an ashvamedha yajna (horse sacrifice).

Mandara is another holy place. It is in the Vindhya range. There is a mandara tree that flowers there on dvadashi and chaturdashi days. Vishnu lives there and a person who sees the flowering tree attains salvation. Vishnu is also always present in Syamantaka tirtha on Mount Meru.

Through Prapana and Vaikunthakarana flow streams that are so holy that anyone who bathes in them is cleansed of all sins.

In the place named Shalagrama, Vishnu is present in the form of a black shalagrama stone. There is a golden image of Vishnu in Lohargala tirtha. This was the place where Vishnu destroyed a large number of demons with his sudarshana chakra. One who practises asceticism in Lohargala attains great punya.
