Having observed the family customs, the gurus (Vasishtha and Shatananda) then joyously turned to have Gauri and her son Ganesha and the Brahmans worshipped (or directed the Brahmans to offer worship to Gauri and Ganesha); the gods accepted the worship in visible form and gladly gave them their blessing. When oblations were offered to the sacred fire, Agni the Fire-god in person accepted the offerings with great delight, and all the Vedas in the guise of Brahmans directed the procedure of the nuptial ceremony.

At the appropriate time, the great, sage sent for her, and in response to their summons her attendant maidens brought her with due reverence. Sunayana shone forth on Janaka’s left, beautiful as Maina beside Himavan (the Mountain King). At the appropriate time, the great, sage sent for her, and in response to their summons her attendant maidens brought her with due reverence.
