No suffering occasioned by time and fate, merit, demerit and disposition shall ever torment you. All the various and exquisite mysteries of Rama recorded in the chronicles and Puranas either plainly or in parables,

You shall comprehend without any difficulty, and your devotion to Rama’s feet shall never grow old! Whatever desire you may form in your mind shall be easy of attainment by the blessing of Hari!”

On hearing the sage’s benediction – mark me, O Garuda of steadfast reason – a solemn voice was heard from heaven: “May your words come to pass, O enlightened sage, for he is my votary in thought and word and deed.”

I rejoiced to hear this voice from heaven and stood overwhelmed with love and rid of all my doubts. Then after making humble petition and taking leave of the sage, I repeatedly bowed my head before his lotus feet

And arrived with great joy at this hermitage. By the grace of the Lord Rama I had obtained an inestimable boon. Listen, king of birds, here have I lived for the past twenty-seven cycles of creation.

I am ever engaged (here) in hymning the praises of Raghunatha while enlightened birds reverently listen. Each time Raghubira takes upon him the form of a man in the city of Ayodhya to bless his votaries,

I go and stay in Rama’s city and enjoy the spectacle of his childish games. Again, enshrining the child Rama’s image in my heart, I return, O king of birds, to my own cell.
