Where To Stay – Lower
Many of the hotels are booked months in advance for the Pooram festival.
The cheaper places are close to the bus station and railway station. These include the Shanti Tourist Home, Station Rd; Chandy’s Tourist Home, Station Rd; and the Jaya Lodge on Kurrupam Rd. The Pathan’s Lodging, off Round South, is a budget place in the center of town with a vegetarian restaurant.

Where to Stay – Middle
The Alukkas Tourist Home, Railway Station Rd, has rooms and with A/C rooms.

The KTDC Yatri Niwas, Stadium Road, in a secluded area, Has clean rooms with A/C. The Hotel Luciya Palace, Marar Rd, has rooms with A/C.

The Manapuram Hotel, Kuruppam, a few minutes from the railway and KSRTC bus stations, is a new well-managed place that has good modern rooms. It also has a vegetarian restaurant.

The Hotel Elite (pronounced Ee-light) International, Chembottil Lane, off Round South, is centrally located and has rooms with A/C. Some rooms overlook the park where the Vadakkunnathan Temple is located.

The best hotel in town is the Casino Hotel, T B Rd, about a five minute auto-rickshaw ride from the railway station and bus station. There are rooms here and with A/C. It has a bookshop.
