Air
The closest airport is located in Patna, four hours north. There are daily flights from there to Delhi, and three flights a week to Calcutta, Varanasi and Lucknow.


Train
Many of the trains going between Delhi and Calcutta go through Gaya. There are direct trains to Varanasi, Puri, and Patna. As the trains are extremely crowded between Varanasi and Gaya, it is best to book a ticket in advance. The New Delhi-Puri Exp, and the Purushottam Exp go to Puri.


The Poorva Express leaves and arrives in Gaya .The night Doon Express leaves Calcutta reaches Gaya and then continues on to Haridwar. The Rajdhani Express goes to Calcutta. The Rajdhani Exp goes to Delhi.


Bus
Buses to Patna (100 km, 3 hr) and Ranchi leave from the Gandhi Maidan Bus Stand.
