There is an airport in Bhuntar, 10 km south of Kullu. There are daily flights to Delhi and Bombay.

There are direct buses to Delhi, Dharamsala, Chandigarh (270 km) and Shimla (235 km). There is a HPTDC A/C super-deluxe bus to and from Delhi.

There are regular buses between Kullu and Manali. Buses on the main road take less than two hours, but buses that go on the east side of the river, the Naggar side, can take three and a half hours.
