Air and Train
The closest airport is in Mangalore, 60 km south. You can get train to Mangalore, but not to any where else.
Bus
Because Udupi does not have a long distance train station, it has a busy bus station You can get an all-night luxury bus to Bangalore (10 hr overnight) and many other destinations in the South.There are about six buses to Mysore and 12 to Bangalore, not counting the luxury buses.
There are also two buses to Panaji in Goa. Buses to Mangalore (1 1/2 hr) depart every 15 minutes. There are four daily buses to Bombay. There are frequent buses to Dharmasthala and Hubli.
