Tulsi & Krishna

There are two varities of Tulsi – dark green and pale green. The former is known as Krishna Tulsi and the latter is known as Rama Tulsi. During Krishaavtar Lord Vishnu spent his childhood in Brindavana, the garden of Tulsi. In North India the sacred town of Vrindavana is close to Mathura, the birth place of Krishna. Brindavan has a number of shrines for Lord Krishna. Tulsi is worshipped with great devotion in all these temples and in every home in Brindvana.

Brinda or Tulsi is a household name borne by thousands of female children in India. Brinda is as sacred as th Gnga and as divine as Vishnu.
