Rail There are trains to Trivandrum, Quilion, Cochin, Madras, Delhi (58 hr, Fri only), and Bombay (48 hr, twice weekly)
Bus Nagercoil is a major bus junction and has two busy stands-one for local buses and the other for long distance ones. There are buses to all over Tamil Nadu, such as Rameswaram (8hr) and Madurai (5 hr) as well as buses to Kerala to such places as Kovalam ( 2 hr) Trivandrum (2 hr) and Quilon. If your are going from Trivandrum or Kovalam to Nadurai you can easily get a bus to Nagercoil and from there get one of the frequent buses to Madurai.
The nearby Padmanabhapuram palace is a popular tourist place. To get there from Nagercoil you take bus #11 or #29. There is a direct bust to the Adi-kesava temple from Nagercoil
