Where To Stay - Lower
Most of the budget hotels are by the railway station or close to Tilak Road. The ones by the station can be really noisy. There are retiring rooms at the railway station for a room with A/C and a private bath. The A-One Guest House opposite the station, has basic unclean rooms with common bath, decent double, and dorm beds. Get an outer room, as the inner rooms are rather dismal.

The Hotel Esquire, opposite Sidi Saiyad Mosque and off the road, has clean rooms but it is often full. The Hotel Bombay, just north of Sidi Saiyad Mosque on the third floor of the KB Commercial Centre, has rooms with common bath and no window. It rooms with bath and hot water. Checkout time is 24 hours.

The Ashiana, Salapose Rd by the GPO, has rooms with common bath. Checkout time is 24 hours. The Hotel Naigra, near Tilak Rd, has rooms with common bath with A/C. Checkout time is 24 hours.

The Hotel Relax, down an alley across from the Advance Cinema, is a popular clean place and a good value. Rooms with hot water.

The Hotel Natraj, Dada Mavlankar Rd, near the Lal Darwaja local bus stand, is in a quiet area. It has good rooms, some with balconies. The Hotel Cadillac, Dr Tankaria Rd, Lal Darwaja has cheap rooms, some with bath, and a dorm for men.

Where To Stay - Middle
The Metropole, opposite Electric House, Relief Rd, has rooms that are a pretty good value with A/C. The Hotel Mehul has cheaper rooms that are not quite as nice, but are still good. Both of these hotels are located down a side street near the end of Tilak Rd.

The Hotel Good Night, Dr Tankaria Rd, has good well-maintained rooms with TV. It is a little off the road, so it is fairly quiet. Next to the Hotel Relax by the Advance Cinema, is the Hotel Sahil, Dr Tankaria Rd, which has good rooms with A/C.

The Hotel Embassy, Lal Darwaja, has rooms with A/C. Rooms here are a good value. The Hotel Gujarat, third floor of Sneha complex, Dr Tankaria Rd, is a modern clean place with a roof terrace.

The Hotel Ambassador on Lady Vidyagauri Rd, near the end of Tilak Rd by the river, is a good large place that has clean rooms with hot water. The Hotel Kingsway, Ramanlal Sheth Rd, close to Tilak Rd and the GPO, is a nice place with rooms. All rooms have hot water and a color TV.

By the railway station and just off Station Rd is the Hotel Shakunt, which has rooms with A/C. All rooms have water, phone, and TV. A problem with this place is the rooms do not have exterior windows, but as the area is very noisy, this may not be so bad. The Moti Mahal Guest House, Kapasia Bazaar, by the railway station, is a well maintained place having clean rooms bath and TV.

Across the river is the Stay Inn, Lady Vidyagauri Rd, and Alif International, opposite Bombay Mercantile Bank. Both are good clean comfortable places. The Hotel Alif has rooms.

The Hotel Capri, has poorly maintained clean rooms. For the price, it is not so bad. The Rivera Hotel, Khanpur, has clean comfortable rooms. It has a lawn. It is a good value and is recommended.

The Hotel Mascot is a new hotel with modem rooms. It is a good place.

The four-star Cama Hotel, Lady Vidyagauri Rd, along the river, has a pool, garden terrace, bookshop, and currency exchange. Its opulent rooms and there are more expensive rooms. It is a recommended place.
