Accomodation in Joshimath
The Nigani Tourist Bungolow has dorm beds. There is a Birla Guest House and several private lodges in town.
Around the main square is the basic Kamet, where the rooms facing the square are cheaper than the other side. There is also the basic Marwari, which has a popular vegetarian restaurant below it.The Jyoti Lodge is a good middle value hotel. The older Neelkanth has nice rooms with a view of the valley.
In the lower part of town is the town Kedar Holy Home Guest House, which has good doubles at night.There are many places to stay here. The road to Badrinath is closed at 4.30 pm, so if you arrived after that time you must stay here.
