Train
The Maiwa Express is the fastest train to Delhi. The Maiwa Exp leaves Delhi and arrives in Ujjain going via Mathura. The Intercity Express leaves Mathura and arrives in Ujjain. From Bombay you get down at Nagda and take a passenger train for another 1½ hours.

There are three trains daily to Ahmedabad. The Bhopal-Rajkot Exp goes to Ahmedabad. The Sabarmati Exp arrives in Ahmedabad. The Sabarmati Exp returns to Ujjain from Ahmedabad. Sabarmati Exp continues on to Varanasi (32½ hr) via Lucknow (22½ hr) and Faiza bad (Ayodhya). There are also trains to Agra, Jhansi and Calcutta.


Bus
There are a number of buses to Indore ( 55 km) and two buses a day to Mandu and Bhopal. A convenient way to get to Nasik is to go to Indore and from there get an overnight luxury bus.
