The cheap hotels are on Babu Rao St and Ida Scudder St, near the hospital and bus stand. The Mayura Lodge, Babu Rao St, is the recommended budget place with clean rooms. The Hotel Solei has rooms. It is decent, but some rooms do not have windows. The new Nagha International Lodge, K V S Chetty St has rooms that are a good value.
The Hotel River View, 1 km north of Vellore, is a recommended place with clean rooms and with A/C.
