Salute to the Sun

BHUJANGASANA

Position 7 Bhujangasana or 'serpent pose'
Lower the hips while pushing the chest forward and upward with the arms, until the spine is fully arched and the head is facing up. The legs and lower abdomen remain on the floor and the arms support the trunk. The breath is inhaled while moving forward and upward into position. Focus the awareness at the base of the spine feeling the tension from the forward pull.
